about

Restored in 1988, Camerata Farmhouse is a restored farmhouse situated on the Umbrian Hillside. Located just outside of the local town Camerata, the house sits amongst hundreds of olive trees. The house began restoration in 1988, before which it was the farmhouse of a local family in Camerata. Before the age of cars, the walk from the farmhouse to Camerata was quite laborious, forcing the farmers to stay overnight up in the farmhouse before returning to their houses in town. Upon discovering the abandoned farmhouse in the late '80s, Edward Youkilis, the owner, began restorations. Over the years, the property has gained a pool and a guest-house.

The main house has two bedrooms and sleeps four. There is a separate guest house for two additional guests. The master bedroom has a terrace with beautiful views of the Umbrian countryside, and the pool is located uphill from the house with fantastic views of the Umbrian foothills. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. The house is surrounded by roses and flowering vines with a large outdoor eating area, including an outdoor wood or charcoal burning grilling area. Rentals are available from May through October. November through April rentals are also available upon request.
